About Us

The Quasi-Parish of St. Thomas More, erected in 2014 by Msgr. Jeffrey Steenson, is the successor to thr Toronto Anglican Use Sodality the original group of former Anglicans and others who have entered into the full communion of the Catholic Church. We welcome with joy the publication of the Apostolic Constitution Anglicanorum Coetibus as an avenue to Christian Unity and invite all to visit and join us for worship. We regularly prepare people from various Christian traditions to enter into full communion with the See of Rome.

We retain many features of Anglican patrimony that conform to the Catholic faith including the distinctly traditional English Ordinariate Liturgy, English sacred choral music and pastoral ministry.

We are convinced that the way in which the Anglican witness and patrimony will be preserved in the wider Church is through full communion with the See of Peter, which provides the essential fullness of Catholic doctrine as interpreted through the Petrine Ministry for the organic unity and health of the Body of Christ.

Our vision for our parish is based on the desire “to worship God in the beauty of holiness” (Ps 29:2), and to express in our worship Christ’s call to unity and the hope for the healing of divisions among the followers of Christ.
